Otterbein United Methodist Church (5/14/11)

Presented to 25 kids who also committed to a 30 day fasting period 

TST presented out standard program to Otterbein United Methodist Church. We were overwhelmed with emotion as we saw the youth respond in such an positive way! The youth committed themselves to sexual purity until marriage, and we pray that their promises will be lived out!

Hanna House (5/17/11)

Presented to 12 women

TST presented once again at the Hanna House and ministered to the women there who are getting back on their feet after having very challenging times. The women at the Hanna House may come from various backgrounds, but they all have one thing in common-- The passion to know the TOTAL TRUTH. Teen Straight Talk is delighted that we can share that with them, and we pray the very best for the center and the women who are there. Everyone, please keep Hanna House in your prayers.

Scope Senior Center of Howland(5/3/11)

Presented to 9 Seniors 

Teen Straight Talk doesn't just present to teens, we educate people of ALL ages! This presentation may have been small in numbers, but the knowledge they have gained has grown exponentially! In the U.S. over 250,000 grandparents are directly involved with the raising of their grandchildren. When parents and grandparents have this information, it equips them with the TRUTH, and they will pass it on to their loved ones.

YWCA of Warren(4/16/11)

United Methodist Church Youth Group, over 30 young ladies, 10 adults

Teen Straight Talk presented our presentation to a group of young ladies, and we are confident that the message was well recieved! After our presentation, 3 woman panel of former teenage mothers shared their stories with us about what they wish they had known about sex, and how their decisions have impacted their lives. The theme of that day was for each and every person to know that they are SPECIAL. At the end, we presented everyone with a rose, a bracelet that read " Special" on it, and a poem to remember this occasion.

Bethel Baptist Church(4/28/11)

Presented to 14 Teens

TST was pleased to present our standard program to Bethel Baptist Church! Reverend Duffy and his co-pastors show the true meaning of God's love on a weekly basis to the youth in the community. Reverend Duffy preached for 5 weeks on the importance of maintaining one's sexual purity, and finally wrapped up his discussion with a presentation from Teen Straight Talk. All of the teens who saw the presentation were inspired and signed a card declaring their sexual purity until marriage. We at Teen Straight Talk want to commend Bethel Baptist Church on helping a much needed community! Thank you for letting us be a part of it!

Calvary Bible Church (5/14/11)

TST has various programs that we believe will help adults fully understand what is going on in today's sexually charged world. At this presentation, we spoke about negative visual influences - pornography. Our message showed statistics about pornography, and how it is a negative influence that can alter behavior. It was an informative presentation that everyone should hear.

Urban Pathways Charter School (5/19/11) Pittsburgh, PA

Meeting with CEO about potential presentations next year

Mary Duke and Telisha Reid from TST attended a meeting with Dr. Calluti, the CEO of Urban Pathways Charter School after an intial introduction by Reverend Dwight Dumas who serves at the school. Located in the heart of Pittsburgh, Urban Pathways Charter School is a beautiful building filled with teachers, staff and students who are passionate about learning and growing! We met with the CEO about TST coming for presentations in the next school year, and we hope that Urban Pathways will be in our near future for presentations! While at the school, we visited the music class under the direction of Ms. Tracy. Her class played on the steel drums for us, and they also taught us as well! Overall, the visit to the school was a success, and we pray that God blesses us to come to them!

New Bethel Church Health Fair (6/11/11) Youngstown, OH

Telisha Reid attended the New Bethel Health Fair on 6/11/11 to promote Teen Straight Talk along with about 20 other vendors from the community. The health fair featured vision screenings, HIV/AIDS testing, back massages and more! The health fair lasted from 8:30 am to around 12:10pm. It brought out various people from the community who wanted to learn more about the services available. Overall it was a success and TST ministered to many people and got our name out there! Thank you so much New Bethel Church for letting Teen Straight Talk to be a part of it!

Upward Bound @ Youngstown State University Youngstown, OH (6/14/11- 7/14/11)

4 week program( excluding July 4th week) presented to scholastic students grades 9 and up

25 students per week

The Upward Bound program at YSU is a program for all first generation college bound high school students. Telisha Reid, Ted Smith and Mary Duke will be presenting our standard Teen Straight Talk program and each week will be a different lesson. We are excited to partner with Upward Bound and we can't wait to speak to these outstanding youth and make a difference in their lives! With this extended program, we pray they can fully grasp God's Truth, and apply it to their everyday lives! We were so impressed with the students, we are confident that they understood God's truth!

Cuyahoga Community College- Leadership Camp- Camp Mueller 6/17/11-7/29/11

6 week program (excluding July 4th week) presented to kids in the leadership camp at Camp Mueller provided by Cuyahoga Community College

50 students per week

TST is at it again with yet another extended program, this time each week at the Camp Mueller campsite will be a new batch of kids and another chance to give God's total truth! Ted Smith, Telisha Reid, and Mary Duke will be presenting the full standard program along with activities and handouts about the importance of abstinence as a lifestyle and speaking on God's unconditional love. We were so blessed with how receptive the students were at all of the presentations. We'd like to thank the students, staff, camp counselors, and everyone else who made this possible!

Church of God In Christ Men's Conference- Beachwood, OH 9/10/11

100 Men Ministers/Clergy 1st Session: 9:30am- 10:40am 2nd Session: 10:50am- 12:00pm

Mary Duke went to Beachwood, OH to present at Church Of God in Christ's annual Men's Conference! She was armed with TST's Pornography presentation, that exposes the dangers of this "private" sin. She presented the first part of the two part presentation: focusing on the pornography industry itself, the effects of pornography on you, and also touched on how pornography affects one's mind. The dynamic presentation was taken well by each session that was done and we are confident that this presentation and God's truth, will stick with them forever!
